2003 – The Beginning of a Vision
Dhara Sansthan was founded under the visionary leadership of Mr. Mahesh Panpalia, who currently serves as the CEO. Inspired by the urgent need for sustainable rural development, the organization began its journey in Rajasthan with a strong focus on community participation, equity, and grassroots transformation.
2006 – Launch of Water Resource Management Programs
We initiated watershed development, rainwater harvesting, and water conservation efforts across drought-prone areas. These interventions significantly improved water accessibility for hundreds of rural families.
2008 – Women Empowerment Programs Rolled Out
Formation of Self Help Groups (SHGs), vocational training, and leadership workshops for rural women marked a turning point in empowering them socially and economically.
2011 – Community Health & Hygiene Campaigns
Dhara Sansthan introduced mobile health clinics, preventive care camps, and hygiene awareness sessions, especially focusing on maternal and child health in remote tribal regions.
2014 – Focus on Education & Child Protection
We launched child-friendly learning centers, bridge schooling initiatives, and village-level child protection committees to ensure safer and inclusive education for all children.
2016 – Nutrition Interventions in Tribal Areas
With a focus on reducing malnutrition, Dhara Sansthan initiated kitchen gardens, nutrition education, and supplementary feeding programs for children and lactating mothers.
2018 – Strengthening Livelihoods through NRM
Expanded our livelihood programs through Natural Resource Management (NRM), including sustainable agriculture, livestock rearing, and farmer training programs to boost rural incomes.
2020 – Launch of Skill Development Hubs
Vocational training centers were established for youth and women, offering courses in tailoring, digital skills, handicrafts, and other market-oriented trades.
2022 – Strategic Partnerships & Global Outreach
Forged partnerships with government departments, CSR foundations, and international donors to expand program reach and deepen community impact.
2024 – Impacting Over 1.35 Lakh Lives
By 2024, Dhara Sansthan reached a major milestone—positively impacting more than 1,35,000 individuals through integrated programs across Rajasthan and Gujarat in education, health, water, livelihood, and women empowerment.
