Child Protection

Safeguarding Childhoods, Building Futures

At Dhara Sansthan, we believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. Unfortunately, children in marginalized communities often face exploitation, abuse, child labor, trafficking, and early marriage—issues that rob them of their right to a childhood. Our child protection initiatives are built to prevent these violations and to advocate for every child’s right to protection and development.

Our interventions work on multiple levels. At the community level, we form Child Protection Committees and build awareness among parents, teachers, and local leaders about the importance of education and the dangers of child marriage and trafficking. At the institutional level, we collaborate with Child Welfare Committees, Police, and Juvenile Justice Boards to support rescue and rehabilitation efforts.

We also provide legal aid, psychosocial support, and reintegration services for children who have been rescued. Our team works to reunite children with their families, support school re-enrollment, and provide counseling to help them overcome trauma. Education is a central pillar of our approach, and we work tirelessly to ensure children stay in school and away from harmful situations.

Our campaigns include street plays, school sensitization programs, and community outreach to create awareness and mobilize action. In partnership with government schemes and national child protection frameworks, Dhara Sansthan strives to make rural areas safer for children.

We believe that protecting children is not just a duty—it is a moral responsibility. By fostering safe spaces and empowering communities, we aim to break the cycle of abuse and ensure every child has a chance to dream and achieve their full potential.
