Child Protection – Every Child Deserves a Safe and Happy Childhood

Every child has the right to grow up safe, educated, and loved. Yet many children in rural India face child labor, abuse, neglect, and early marriage. Dhara Sansthan’s Child Protection program addresses these challenges through prevention, intervention, and advocacy.

We identify vulnerable children through village-level mapping. Children out of school, engaged in labor, or suffering neglect are linked with local authorities, schools, and child welfare committees.

Education is a protective shield. We ensure every child is enrolled in school and regularly attend classes. Our “Back to School” program supports dropouts with remedial classes and mentorship.

Child rights sessions are conducted with parents, teachers, and youth groups. We explain laws around child labor, abuse, and marriage, encouraging community vigilance and timely action.

We also provide psychosocial support through storytelling sessions, art therapy, and counseling. Children experiencing trauma are given safe spaces to express themselves and heal.

Our Child Clubs empower children to be active participants in their protection. They learn leadership, confidence, and how to report abuse or violations.

By creating safer homes, schools, and communities, Dhara Sansthan is not just protecting childhood — we’re shaping the future of rural India.
